I'm having a solo show at Seeing Things Gallery, opening Friday night November 7th. 30 N. 3rd ST. San Jose, CA. This will be the last appearance of The Cyclorilla for awhile. His last home burned to the ground, so he tried to cheer himself up on ice creams, but it gave him countless brain freezes, brought on sugar highs, and sluggish lows resulting in food comas. Come to the show and see scenes from his heroic past, like the time he wrestled Steve Caballero's Cab Dragon, and gaze at the ice cold sugary treats that slowed him down.

Judgement Day Sale!!!
Tuesday, May 10, 2011
going into business sale, LAST DAY!!!!
the sale went so well, that we decided to extend it through the entire weekend, to coincide with The Usuals Spring Sale, but today is the last day. we'll be there until 6pm
these pieces start at $20
thanks to Jesse at Elegant Editions we can offer high quality Giclee prints for only $50
we also have t-shirts
roan and i are raising as much money as possible so we can open The Arsenal art store. our friends at The Usuals offered to host a super sale this Saturday, May 14th 12-5pm. the money raised will go towards building up our capital so that we can open our doors and offer san jose it's own art store with affordable prices. no more waiting for your order online, and paying shipping fees. no more having to drive to sf or berkeley just to get what should be readily available here in san jose. at the sale we will have our art at ridiculously low prices, and we will also be releasing new t-shirt designs. if you have ever wanted that big painting, but didn't have the ends, this is the sale to come to. if you ever wanted to get something painted, come talk to us about doing a commission. roan can paint and make websites, i can paint, offer screen printing services and deliver a mean illustration or logo.

homes waiting for food
on saturdays i teach a life drawing class. this a demo for the students.
painting zombie flesh is way more fun, than regular skin tones
every once in a while roan and my buddy pellet will posse up at the donut shop and draw for a while. we usually just work on projects we have going, but this last time it was super crowded with annoying cupertinans? cupertiners? cupertino dwellers...so i just drew a few of them. the no forehead guy and members only jacket dude were alright, just funny looking.

tree t-shirt
video of me printing a new tree shirt. it was made with three screens and 5 passes. it's a monotype meets silk screen process, so even though they're all the same, they're all a little different too. so far only my family are sporting them, but if you want one go pick it up at The Usuals 151 w. santa clara st. san jose

Arcade Murals:
Created on-site for the exhibition, Sean Boyles’s 16-foot mural Control Freak is a tour de force, with line drawings of groups of youth, a bevy of game controls, free-flowing paint, and some nostalgic fowl from Duck Hunt. For more information, visit www.seanboyles.com.

review on artshift
Review by Erin Goodwin-Gurrero
Filling the gallery of Empire Seven Studios in San Jose’s Japan Town are an assault of images from large canvases to drawings, prints, painted constructions and a quirky series of paintings on liquor bottles and long playing records. Sean Boyles gives us everything from in his notebook sketches to side trips into abstract expressionism. There is no room on the walls for title cards but in the tradition of anti-establishmentarianism that accompanies his youthful genre, the titles and prices are casually noted directly on the wall itself. Sandwiched in together with the aggressive or sad faces, nascent ideas, and sometimes-forgettable trivia, are the many works that reveal a talented observer of life around him. Within this giant collage, I felt rewarded to discover a pair of untitled mixed media-screenprint images that were rich in layers and details and some small linocut portraits that were delightfully controlled and composed. The big paintings grab most of the glory, nevertheless.
